This is the view from our front porch. Our land goes all the way down to the tree in the center of the picture. It was headed toward dusk. Once we get a day with full sun again, I will take another picture. Not a bad view, at the moment.
This week I am totally into...
I have been tired this week. Maybe it's the fans that are always going when we are at home, drying out under the floors. It could be just the last few months catching up. So much going on, and a bad roller coaster ride culmanating in a crash landing with Magic. I have been spending a lot more money on fripperies than I usually do. Clothes. Makeup. Tarot cards.
Speaking of tarot cards this week's deck is the Templar Tarot by Allen Chester. The artwork is dark, and a little different.
I am not looking forward to my next few Tarot Decks of the week. The next eight decks or so are decks I have not connected with very well - including 4 decks that have only pips, not illustrated minors. So, the good thing is I will get a lot of experience reading with pip decks, and I can use that.
This week I am avoiding...
I had been avoiding Magic's ashes, there on the counter, but today I got brave and opened the cardboard box, and there was a nice little gray urn. A lot nicer than what my dad's ashes were in, once again. I cried, but it was okay. I can't really think of anything else I was avoiding that I didn't finally get done.
What else is on my mind...
A lot of things. Roe Vs. Wade, and how we Pro-choice folks need to be a little more vocal, or people who need it are going to loose their rights. I never had an abortion. I hopefully never will have an abortion. I don't think anyone who doesn't want one should have one. BUT, I think we need to have the right to have one if we want one. Or need one.
The week ahead....
I hope, on May 1, to start my exercise/eat right/feel good program again. What does that mean? It means eating healthy every day. It means exercising every day. It means not ever wearing clothes that make me feel bad. Wearing make-up every day to work. Wearing jewelry every day. Giving myself a break. Also, hopefully, fixing our floors. This will be a challenging project for someone.
Accomplishments....
I cleaned the house, as much as I could with the current project. I e-mailed our St. Bernard Breeder, and long time aquaintence, that we wanted a puppy again. Ordered makeup, I am going to try out the mineral make up and see what I think. Got the laundry done.
Weekly Gift....
There wasn't one this week. Too busy, too tired. Unless I get surprised with one tonight when TS gets home.
Quote of the Week
We call them dumb animals, and so they are, for they cannot tell us how they feel, but they do not suffer less because they have no words.
